Hindu creation tale

The world had been all emptiness. In the emptiness Vishnu sits on a snake that has no beginning and no end. Vishnu sleeps, and while sleeping he envisions the Creation. A giant lotus flower emerges from his abdomen. On the giant lotus Brahma sits, in deep meditation. A voice calls him, telling him to create the Universe.
